(I forgot how quaint Rock City really is..) We had a very relaxing morning just enjoying nature in all it’s beauty..and it was nice to get off the road for a bit. Made the trip their much easier.

We finished the trails, ate a sandwich, purchased some fudge(YUM!)
Then to Atlanta!

Daniel’s parents asked us to pick up a bed, mattress, sheets, pillows, duvet, lamps, etc. for their guest apt downstairs (they’re having company next week)
First we went to Centennial Park in downtown. It was such lovely weather we had to sit and people watch awhile.There was a fountain show (which was rather cute) and all sorts of interesting people out…really..very interesting.

Also, let me say Atlanta has horribly crowded streets/roads. We were in his parents huge truck and multiple times took the wrong way on the drive to Ikea..it was ridiculous trying to navigate with all the traffic and the one way streets and the pedestrians..lol
I sound ridiculous.
I just realized. City life is no my cup of tea…

SO anyway.. we were in Ikea for at least four hours…lots of mishaps and setbacks. We ended up leaving around 10 30 (our time)..it was a long and sleepy drive back, especially once we hit 24.
One we got home around one-thirty we just totally crashed. I didn’t even wake up until about eleven this morning..

I guess to sum this post up,
Life is getting kind of weird, but I think I like it.

it nearly killed me.

with the help of many others, i did finish, i was somewhat proud. a little disappointed..i wanted to add more detail, increase the scale and number of pipes…but

it is what it is

and it’s over

life is good

today i slept in (11 30) which i desperately needed
and spent the day outside
i started by drinking coffee on the deck while planning a park day with caroline
we cleaned the house a bit, then grabbed some lunch, and took off in the direction of davy crockett
it was so sunny, with just a light wind
perfect in my opinion.

read our favorite poems, took some photos, listened to some open air music..
then went to explore the antique shops on the square.

i really appreciate having such a neat hometown
and being able to come back whenever i feel the need :}
i adore being able to go anywhere and always be greeted by someone i know

some may find that to be an annoyance
i used to
i wanted to get away, go somewhere no one knew my name
some part of me still does
the independent explorer i suppose…
but today, i just enjoyed being known,
and loved i guess.

i also bought a hatchet
a little worn in, but that’s just how i needed it
it’s for an art project..
take an iconic object
and cover it in something related to it…such as who would’ve used it, what time period it’s from, what it was used for…
but not too obvious
so,
the decision was made to cover it in black braided hair…
i think the relationship is just symbolic enough .
and i’m rather ecstatic

i’ve been rather ecstatic lately about a lot of things.

life in general, it’s just been exciting, fulfilling,very difficult, stressful, inspirational, somewhat baffaling, and joyful…. that seems like a lot. i think so too.

today, while driving around with caroline, it hit me how truly happy i had been lately. blissfully happy. it snuck up so suddenly i barely realized it presence beside me..it’s been awhile. but now i’m basking in it.

i vote in favor of the book much more than the movie..

it was lacking in it’s climax and dragged on a bit..the view of heaven was pretty interesting though

i’m actually really excited about afterlife

that sounds odd..but i think it’s just going to be so magnificent..we can’t even begin to imagine

he was kind of mad at me on this particular afternoon

neils dark skin smells of foreign spices and newly washed sheets.

one thing i loved about high school basket ball games was sneaking out early to go to my house, and lay on my couch with him

sometimes we’d watch a movie

but mostly one of us would turn to face the other on the narrow couch and we softly stare into each others dark eyes

he would tenderly touch my back and immediately send chills down my spine.

i liked to run my fingers along his not-quite-scruffy face

outlining his eyebrows, his long eye lashes, his strong jawbone, and finally his lips..

he didn’t kiss me for about year, actually he didn’t kiss me at all…i kissed him..

shortly before christmas, standing at my front door..he was leaving..and my mother baking in the kitchen

we were barley 16

i wish all kisses were as magical as the first ones..

i think some of them are,

with the right person of course..

i think people probably kiss too much

i don’t know..it just seems it should be a very intimate thing to me..

making out at the movies or in other public places just seems so trashy.

kissing is like telling someone a secret, a precious secret most don’t ever get to hear

they should be saved for quiet moments alone, sappy goodbyes, and of course late nights.
